FULL DAY ITINERARY:

We will pick you up at your hotel at 5:00 am and to go head to the town of Urco (located on the road from Cusco to Puno) and the Checacupe district (about 2 hours) before taking the bypass which will lead us to Piturmata. We will cross several small villages to the community of Hanchipata – Quesiuno (1:20 hours journey), ideal place to start our hike. On the way, we will see several mountains, including the famous snowy summit of the Ausangate, as well as, lagoons and magnificent pastures of llamas and alpacas.

At the end of an ascent of about 3 hours, we will reach the summit of Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain or 7 Colors Mountain) and have 1:00 hour to catch our breath and take magnificent photos of the mountain. As well as the sumptuous surrounding, landscape. We will then begin our descent of about 2:30 hours to reach our starting point and return to Cusco by bus.
