All about the MACHU PICCHU.

Machu Picchu, an Inca citadel located in the Andes Mountains of Peru, is one of the world’s most well known sacred places. Machu Picchu (like most of the Quechua names of towns and different sites in the region) is a compound word that comes from machu = old or ancient, and picchu = peak or mountain; therefore, Machupicchu is translated as “Old Mountain”. The famous mountain that is seen in front, and appears in most of the classical views of the site is named Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain). We offer 1 or 2 day tours of Machu Picchu and include a trip to Huayna Picchu if requested.

DAY 1 LIMA/ CUZCO

At arrival, welcome with MATE DE COCA and transportation to hotel. The rest of the day free to rest and get used to the height.

DAY 2 CUZCO / MACCHU PICCHU / CUZCO

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transportation to the train station to begin journey to Macchu Picchu by Expedition train. On the journey, you can see wonderful vegetation of the Higher Jungle and majestic snow-capped mountains, going through several tunnels to finally arrive at Puente Ruinas station to take a bus to Macchu Picchu Sanctuary; The lost city of the Inkas; a jewel of world tourism, declared a New 7^th Wonder of the World;unique and breathtaking. We will walk around its squares, temples, warehouses, stairs, water fountains, andean terraces, surveillance posts and cemeteries, as well as the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana (Solar Clock) and the Temple of the Three Windows, among other places of special charm. It includes Buffet lunch in Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, return by train to the city of Cuzco and transportation to hotel.

DAY 3 CUZCO / LIMA

Breakfast in hotel. Transportation to airport to board the flight to return to Lima.
